Recently, Ian Jane from AV Maniacs interviewed me at length on my early years, my experiences working in film, and what I’ve been up to lately.
As he puts it: I leave NO stone unturned.
I’m not the kind to shy away from any kind of question. So, I invite you all to read this very IN-DEPTH interview. I have to say that it was a very interesting and rewarding experience and I want to thank Ian for his kind consideration. I am eternally grateful that he presented me the opportunity to discuss many important topics, not least of which is the respect and love I have for Russ Meyer and his legacy.
Now go read that interview!

I read it already. It was a great interview. I was impressed. This is coming from a fan. Take care. Peace, love and happiness.

Wow! That was a very revealing interview Erica. I had always wondered what happened to Russ Meyer’s work since he passed on. Too bad the current handlers have made such a mess. I mean really, Russ in drag? Ugh.

Great interview, i’m a huge Meyer fan so to read your views on the disgrace that has afflicted his business is very sad but enlightening.
I still shake my head in disbelief when i watch Vixen, a snapshot in time, some scenes just could not be made today…You were filmmakers on the edge..
Thank you for the years of enjoyment.
what a fantastic read, thank you erica for your wisdom and brutal honesty. i just bought glamour girls # 16 on ebay last night as it happens.
share all you will- i for one love to read about you and see photographs, to get an insight into your life. vixen! made a huge impact on me, and remains in my top three (it was often aired on bravo channel in europe), as an impressionable teen you were a woman of awe and aspiration to me, and you remain that to this day.
sad to think of the material from the cutting room floor, and that it may never see the light of day- art is meant to be shared, even when it is less than perfect- time is now.
also with the world-s loss of tura, it makes me realise output and creativity is little use to you when you^re gone, so you better enjoy and share while you can still appreciate it, and the joy it brings to others.
such is the way of the world- unemployed gardener and office clerk in control of rm^s (and your) creative output! a real shame that the world is devoid of this content. who knows, maybe the bitter old cretin will get over her insecurities and see the light.
thank you for sharing,
fiona.
Fiona, thank you ♥
I’m still quite overwhelmed right now, I just want everyone to know that I feel your love. I’ll have a special post about Tura and Maria very soon.
xoxo
